So, I need to update. But this post is not about that.
My Emily is young womens, and has asked me to do her personal progress along with her. Which is kind of cool. So I'm going to be doing my journal-ing here, because it's my journal :D
Today we read Alma 56:45-48, and 57:21... We then talked about womanhood. Man, I'm proud and grateful to be a woman! I love that we live in a day and age that women have the ability to be mothers in their home, but also follow their dreams. My daughter wants to be a computer programmer. What a great career to help her reach both her goals of being a stay at home mom and a programmer. We discussed what a blessing it is to get the opportunity to be mothers. I recently have had to take a part time job subbing in the public schools. I never really realized how important and what a blessing it was for me to stay home, until I couldn't anymore. I love subbing, but I love being a stay at home mom. Luckily I'm able to stay home more days then I have to work! After discussing this with Emily and previously discussing it with Bryan, we've been able to discuss and really make some decisions that will make it more possible for me to work less and less. In fact, this week I've turned down shifts because I have a set amount that we've decided is essential for our budget, but we know that it's important that I don't take to many shifts because being home with my children is the most important thing. It comes down to good, better, best... and me being home is best!
